Well all the wood is stacked and done, the only thing left is the small stuff under the tarp for the garage. Daughter has all of hers done except small stuff and a white oak that fell during the spring. SIL and daughter has theirs finished and stacked next to their new outdoor wood furnace.
Come to find out SIL & daughter never scaled their wood when they bought it form the logger who used to deliver our wood. THey finally checked it out and were paying for 10 cord, but only getting 7 cord at most. The logger cord runs $1300.00 for a load of wood, which means their getting screwed for 3 cord thats not exhistant.According to the SIL and daughter the logger is scaling by weight and not measurement per cord of wood. And the wood is now only limbs and end pieces of trees. Not a way to buy wood.We haven't bought wood for 3 yrs and Daughter and SIL and other daughter quit buying this year so he is out of a little bit of money. Some of our wood came off the border of our property was termite infested. THe tree's from the county forest came down and pushed our trees into the house roof and had to replace the blandex, tar paper and shingles with new plywood, tar paper ad steel roofing, along with facia board and sofit, so it will be good for another 70 yrs, we'll get the south side next year replace with steel roofing. You can see my son has been busy, he's a good man,and I'm proud of him.
We have some new projects to do in te winter to do inside the garage. The Adirondacks case guy has given us a project to do with the elevator/conveyor, looking forward for that and will be calling on him for some information, cause he's one smart fellow. He truly is an asset to Yesterdays Tractors. Well for now this is it,hope you enjoy the pictures,we're keeping warm . Regards, LOU

Minus two kids, we traveled light with only the youngest in tow. As long as a pool was at the end of our destination she was easy to please unlike the other two who have a multitude of requirements to travel with mom and dad. Amana Colonies served as a respite where we ate a family style lunch that sustained us with more food than could reasonably fit into our ample physiques. The show at Ankeny
