Whew, it depends what you are cutting, rough brush or thick grass as tall as the tractor, or mowing a grass area every 4-6 weeks.
I would expect a 35 hp tractor to have trouble with an 8 foot brush hog at some point, underpowered. But it depends what you are cutting I guess. Do you have live pto on that model tractor? Boy without would be even tougher......
Your tractor would kinda be sized for a 6 foot maybe. A twin spindle would pull easier I'm sure.
Since you are looking for pull type, not 3pt, the weight won't matter.
