Thanks to you guys who replied to my question. I am still working on my tractor and had a question about the solenoid on the bottom of the carburetor. The wire is bad going to it and is touching the metal sleeve going into the solenoid. I have tried liquid tape and it inst working. I took it off to look at it and someone has already removed the pin or plunger. There is just a hole. I unplugged it, and now my tractor wont start at all. What exactly does the solenoid do and is it necessary? I guess since it wont start, it is??????? I am beginning to think I should have just took the tractor to someone who knew what they were doing!!!!Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Norm
