Got a shut down code yesterday and had to get my truck fixed. After some searching they determined that my dpf filter was plugged. Dart service had mentioned that I was due for a cleaning, but since everything was working good and I had had no problems with that system I didn't want to start anything. That was a mistake. Volvo doesn't give a recomended cleaning interval, only say that it should be regular. This is what I have after 520,000 miles. It's not real costly, and if I had done it at Dart they just keep exchamge ones so it's only an hour to do it. Anyway, lesson learned, I'll be cleaning it regularly now.
