In 1985 my wife and I were living on an acreage we owned at the time. My mother-in-law passed away and we took over her house in town because it was close to school for our daughter, among other practical reasons. Since my wife is an only child, we basically moved our stuff into her mom's house and lived happily.
In 1997 my mother died and we accumulated a bunch of her stuff. Then in 1999 we sold the house in town and built back out in the country. When we moved out of the house in town, we were basically moving three households out of it. We'd put in a 12 hour day moving and it wouldn't even look like we'd put a dent in it. Plus we had to winter in a 2 bedroom apartment while our present house in the country was being built. Thankfully, one of my wife's girlfriends offered us the use of an empty Quonset she had.
It seemed like stuff was breeding and reproducing exponentially. Several years ago, I put up a 30X48 metal building with the intentions of having a nice new shop. Guess what? I'm still in my old shop while the new building is used for storage.
I think we need to have a huge garage sale, or even an auction.

Unless you are from another planet, physically or otherwise, I don’t think our internal combustion buddies will talk and tell us their problems. But, on the other hand, there is a secret language that our mechanical companions readily do speak. It is an interesting form of communication that involves all the senses of the listener. In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
