Can't hardly give away an old Ford nowadays, a decade ago a running but rough and tired jubilee or 8n brought 3500, with loader even more, now I see nice ones listed on craigslist for months at 1500 and not selling. I think everyone who bought one for the nostalgia of having one on the farm as a kid got old and died or moved to nursing homes and there tractors went back on the market and flooded it. Also nowadays many small rural living transplants don't know much about maintaining a old tractor, so something that most of us hardly think of like points and condenser or carburetor rebuild turns into an expensive job paying someone to do it and pretty soon payments on a Kubota or such start looking pretty good.
