TV isn't on much at our house. We have a Sony 32" Trinitron tube TV, no other TVs in the house. Kids lobby for a new flat screen TV every time they come back home. Flat screens are nice but as long as this one is still working, it's fine for as much as we watch it which is maybe once or twice a week on Saturday or Sunday nite. Funny thing is that I haven't watched anything on the major networks in years. There are about 4 or 5 channels I'll hit looking for entertainment, mostly old Movie channels. I used to like the History or Discovery channel but they're garbage now too. However, the wife will spend hours on the computer playing Candy Crush or some stupid witch and bubble game or Scrabble against her sister. I'll check email, our retirement savings accounts and this site every other day or so. Life is too short to spend it in front of the bube tube.
Funny thing is that my wife has been bugging me to go visit our relatives in Florida in the winter (in-laws, brother, sister, etc). I say why? All they do is sit in front of the TV all day. Why fly all that way to do that?
