If you got 90,000 miles on the P tires with few problems, I would stay with the P tires. You probably are not overloading the tires very often if you got 90K miles from them. Switching to LT tires will probably cost extra and will likely make the truck ride harsher. I would try to weigh that against any potential extra miles from LT tires.
The mark-up on premium tires can be substantial. I'm not a Walmart fan, but there are some things they do very well. As a nationwide chain they have thousands of stores in just about every town over 5,000 population. Walmart buys tires in very very large volumes. Walmart has a lot of negotiating power, closer to the power of a vehicle manufacturer than the power of a smaller chain with a dozens of stores in several states. It's believable that Walmart can buy tires for less cost and sell them with less mark-up than a smaller tire chain can do. Another consideration is if those tires are normally stocked at your local Walmart, it's likely they are also commonly stocked in almost all the other Walmart stores too. It does not hurt that you could get a tire replaced under warranty in any small town with a Walmart.
Again, I'm not a Walmart fan, but at 15 to 20 percent less cost and thousands of tire centers nationwide, I'd be really hard pressed not to buy the tires from Walmart unless the other store was run by friends or family.
