You are sadly mistaken, sir. You can make as much noise as you please on YOUR end. However, the telephone equipment is NOT CAPABLE of reproducing that level of sound at the caller's end. All the caller gets is an annoying noise that is simply not loud enough to "clean out his ears" or otherwise.
Don't believe me? Try this: the loudest noise your equipment is capable of generating is the phone company's "receiver off hook" noise. That is as loud as it gets. See if that "cleans out" your ears.
