Now if you want fix it up and make it tight, there are some other things you can do. -replace all bushings and pins in front axle pivot and spindles -reseal steering motor -replace tie rod ends -send steering valve to Tim S for a rebuild--made a new tractor out of my 2510 -if it is a syncro shift and just a little sloppy, rebuild and tighten up the shifter drums, linkages, and check the detents for wear. There is a procedure in the service manual to adjust the shifter linkages after you remove the slack by welding up the worn rods/holes and smooth them back out. -If is has any trouble electrically, I would recommend 12 volt conversion and some new wiring -Then if you like another challenge, loosen and lubricate the rear axle wedges and adjusting mechanism so the wheel width can be easily changed. The guy who buys it will greatly appreciate it!
