Done with my firewood for the year.
18ish cord of 3' long mixed hardwood for my outdoor wood boiler.
Pretty much all standing dead beech, black birch, hickory, oak, maple, ash with some black locust and ironwood mixed in.
It is a 25' X 18 X 4.5-5' pile...it is now tarped and I will clean out hedgerows with dead stuff until the snow comes in and I stop wanting to maneuver around the fields. Then I will start on my pile. I load 3/4 of a cord onto a covered wagon which lasts me a full week. So I move a wagon once a week for the winter.- loading up takes me about an hour start to finish.
Glad to be done...hope to have some leftover and get a head start for next year...someday I will be a year ahead.
