Speaking strictly from experience,it intirely depends on mood of the officer when he stops you in Texas. 9 times out of ten if you question anything he says you will wind up with a ticket for something. Doesn't say anything about equipment,parts,tools and other necessities but the unspoken rule is if it's farm/ranch related business,it's legal.The thing that can fly up and hit you between the eyes is an insurance claim. Standard Tx insurance policy state's farm or business use is not covered unless you buy a rider.You can open an office in Mexico and thumb your nose at mandatory liability insurance,driver's license,brakes,weight,lights and such.
