Did you get my email regarding a carb? I work in a plant that has over 100 various forklifts and sweepers almost all LP. Except for the rare one or two days in the winter when it may be -10 degrees and a unit was left outside, all of them will start. almost all of them have Impco setups and for what ever reason we have some that crank longer than others when cold, usually defined by brand. As mentioned the LP systems build up greasy wax like goo inside which prompts a rebuild of the vaporizer. But, once done lasts for many hours. An engine with good vacuum and spark helps but I find the LP fuel setup to be very forgiving and for a unit started and used only occasionally, I think its better than gasoline.
