My combine has a factory heated seat and it does help with back pain. Only problem is the bottom gets hotter than the back due to better "contact". I really wished the back and the bottom were independently controlled. Who needs a sweaty bottom? On a side note, something that helps the back is keeping your feet elevated a bit. I had the "Harley Pegs" installed on the steering column of my combine to rest my feet at a height just above the brake pedals. Takes all the pressure off the spine for those long days. This has helped me more than the heat.
