I was reading on another forum about the high accident rate for hobby farmers. Someone mentioned people who move to the country on a few acres and buy a tractor that they know little about. A few years ago I sold a John Deere 4020 to a young fellow and I had to deliver it. I got to his place and he had a 600 Ford parked there. I asked how many acres he had. The answer was 6. I asked why he needed a tractor that size. He had a tree by the barn about 2 feet in diameter. He said the Ford wouldn't pull the tree out of the ground and the John Deere might would do it. I said, Really, I don't think I would bet a lot on that happening. Last time I was out that way the tree was still standing. Some people amaze me, but my wife says I am easily amazed.
