Well number #1 do nut use grease because it will over time hurt the rubber or both the tube and tire. #2 use a product made just for that like Murphy's soap which any good tire place will have. #3 I would use truck bed liner spray to coat the rim with it will work better to stop rust and hold up longer then any paint. #4 if your going to do it your self and need tips as to how to do it send me an -mail and I'll send you a page that shows how to do your own tires. Comes out of an owners manual I have I have worked doing tire repair and still do most of my own and if you have the knowledge of how to do them and the correct tools it is not all that hard to do.
