One of my friends had a junked Crafstman heavy duty mower. It had the same size rears I use 23x10.5x12 turf tires on the rear. I made a semi mistake by asking if I could pull off those rear tires. An hour later and a he..double.. ll of trouble they were loaded into my explorer. Good golly miss molley were those things ever heavy! Just as you said, they were foam filled and there is a big screw in the center of the tread to let the air out as they filled them. No kidding a normall ten or twelve pound wheel and tire now weigh 70 or 75 pounds!! They work but remember they no longer flex so they are almost like steel wheels on an old tractor with a much smaller diameter.
