I have four dogs. None of them is young. Our Dachsund that lives in the house is well up into her teens now. The two labs outside are 7-8 years old each. And then there is Dottie. Brought to my attention by my youngest daughter. She was found running down the road. Bad skin, very thin. Very sweet. The techs hid her in the back of the clinic for months before the vet caught on and ordered her put down. She is part black lab. I was told she slept all the time and was expected to pass away in a few weeks because of her age and condition. I said she could come to the farm to die and maybe have a couple good weeks because my kid loved her. Six months later and she is getting younger by the day. Loping around the place in the snow. Likes the other dogs, cats, poultry...and they like her. Well, maybe not the poultry. So I guess she belongs here now. Sorry about your loss. Sounds like a good dog.
