Duluth for me. The knees have a special pocket built in so you can slide knee pads in there. Best knee pads in my opinion. I've yet to ripe the firehose material.
I like to layer clothes so as the day warms up I can remove a layer at a time. Long Johns are nice, but lately I discovered wearing flannel PJ's is warmer than long johns.
I have a pair of old mill insulated bibs with zipper down each leg and an old mill Jacket with hoodie.
Back in my younger days I rode a Goldwing in the winter as long as there was no ice or snow. I picked up a pair of Artic coveralls. Weigh about 10 pounds. Nice to wear is you are pushing snow with a tractor and no cab. I definitely wouldn't want to try to work in them. No need to worry about falling and getting hurt, too much insulation.
I also like to wear 10 inch boots with removable liners. geo
