I hope the PC police read this before they delete it! I'm talking about myself! So I head out to plow some of this cursed snow today, only the plow tractor will not start. Bit of a problem until I spy the grain truck sitting there still loaded with corn. So I hooks up the cables...but these old chevys have these side connect batteries with the little tiny nubs to hook onto and it is a trial. So I checks ALL my connections and, somehow, switched the ones on the tractor. Then I started playing with the ones on the truck. Big shower of sparks and the battery catches fire. No idea what is going on so I just rip the cables off and start swatting at the battery with my glove all the while the truck is sounding a little weird. Once the fire was out the truck went back to normal and I went back and stared at the tractor. Pretty obvious what I did...so I hooked it up right and started over. So I guess the flaming battery terminals made for better contact...cause the tractor started. Plowed my snow. Filthy weather. 24 degrees when I started, 17 when I left. Wind picking up. Never a dull moment. Never did THAT before! Lucky it didn't blow up in my face!

Cylinders are the reason for the hydraulic circuit. They take the fluid power delivered from the pump and magically change it into mechanical power. There are many types of cylinders that one might run across on a farm scenario. Each one could take a chapter in
