Infrared is a very efficient, clean, ventless heater.
But, they don't do much for heating a room. They are more for heating the items in front of the heater. If you need only the area you will be working kept warm, they are great.
But if you will be moving around to different areas of the shop, not so good unless you install several of them or can make it portable.
There is not a big difference in brands, they all have to be industry approved as far as safety and efficiency.
