I am working on my old plow truck tonight, 1985 GMC K1500 4x4. We are expecting a large snowfall here in central MN. I have owned this truck about 20 years, it was my main road truck for years, now it never leaves the yard and is only for plowing snow. It is nicely optioned and has aftermarket accessories and wheels, etc. It was a very nice truck in it's day . I have owned a heck of a lot of trucks in my life, and I did a quick count just now, I currently own 13 trucks ( pickups and SUVs ) I think this old GMC is one of my all time favorites. Kinda funny, but I really love this old rig. It isn't the nicest, newest , most power full, best looking , most reliable or any of those things. I just really like the way it looks , sounds , drives. I like the interior and the coziness of a regular cab. I have felt that fondness for other mechanical items like tractors , motorcycles , and cars . I am sure some of you guys know what I am talking about. What is it for you ?

Today's Featured Article - 12-Volt Conversions for 4-Cylinder Ford 2000 & 4000 Tractors - by Tommy Duvall. After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
