Pro-com has made them for years. Tractor Supply sometimes sells them under the Redstone brand name. Largest is rated 30,000 BTUs on propane with no chimney hookup required. All mechanical thermostat and no electricity needed unless you want to use the optional blower. I have six of them and never had a problem yet with any. And regardless if infrared - it still certainly DOEs heat a room. 30K BTU is 30K BTU. Infrared just means it can heat line-of-sight objects quickly -before the air around them heats up. The last one I bought came as dual-fuel with a propane and a NG regulator built in.
