. "Equipment for the Farm and Farmstead" is a hard back book copywrited in 1917, written by an Agriculture Engineer from Ohio State University. This book has many plans of all types of farm buildings from A-frame farrowing houses to fancy gambrel-roofed dairy barns. Included is a plan for a well equipped shop powered by a single cylinder hit-or-miss style engine with line shafts and flat belts to each tool. House plans with attention to indoor plumbing and lighting (acetylene gas, kerosene and modern electric) are included. Many of you may live on CENTURY FARMS where old buildings of these designs still stand and even used. Farm equipment shown is powered both by horse and tractor, with the book's final chapter devoted to gas engines. Scenes of farm life in the book are portrayed in museums and re-enacted at antique tractor shows. If you're interested in actual readable copies of any of the plans, contact me and I will gladly assist
