Merry Christmas to everyone. I got to thinking about my dad today, about the last Christmas he was alive back in 1997. He was 56 years old and dying of cancer. I got my wife a pair of diamond earrings for Christmas, and I showed them to my dad. He thought they were the most beautiful thing ever! So being my dad was unable to walk anymore and chair bound only, he asked me if he could buy these diamond earrings from me and give them to my mom for Christmas. Of course, I said! WOW! You should have seen my mom's face light up! It was very sad also, in the fact that I think we all knew this would be my dad's last Christmas together with our family. The earrings were perfect for my mom! She was so happy and my dad was extremely grateful as well. So whenever I see diamond earrings, it always reminds me of that special Christmas gift from my dad to my mom. I miss you old man!! I am teary eyed as I type this. Anyone else have memories of your Christmas past to share? Kow Farmer Kurt
