. I bought my house here in Fl. 30 some years ago. The first year I paid the insurance then the next year they doubled it so I said just cancel it. They said you can't do that. I said watch. You run the risk so now I will run the risk. I paid for the house when I bought it so I didn't have to insure it for some bank. To date I think that I beat them. Just the lot is worth more than I paid for the house and lot. Now I don't think there is over a few houses with insurance on them on this street. So you say what if someone gets hurt on your land ? This is Fl. and you can't take my home and you can't take my car. My opinion of insurance companies is not very high.
