I went to a consignment sale last Spring in the rain last spring and saw this enclosed trailer sitting there. It was not on the sale bill so gave it a quick walk around in the rain and went inside to watch the slideshow sale. Ended up buying it for $1700----felt fairly good? They said 5000 lb. axles but I doubted that for it only had 5 bolt wheels, 3500 lb. So now I am in the process of fixing. The right channel iron on the gooseneck was bent and someone tried "fixing" it with reinforcing plates on the sides. What a cobbled mess. I decided to cut all that out and I am going to put a third axle under it so I cut all that out also. I know this is not Osha approved but I used my 7 in. grinder and a chop saw wheel. Works good-Need a good pair of thick leather gloves, ear muffs and eye protection. I am going with the third axle instead of going with heavier axles because the axles now are almost in the center of the trailer and the tractor goes in the back and my Gator goes in the front. It will balance out better. I am open for suggestions on getting every thing SQUARE again. Thanks-------Tee
