we have been involved in several DEEP sewer line jobs . On one i benched fifteen feet and we had to bring in a 450 size hoe to dig down the other 35 feet and over three hundred feet long . The hoe was working at it's limits and we stacked ditch boxes on top of ditch boxes , and we were lucky to get two joints of 12 inch in a day and setting the man holes was even more fun . On another job the main was at one point 32 feet deep and making the tie in's to the homes was a real treat . another line we did way back was dug with a lima 44 with a dragline set up and a D 4 cat in the bottom of the ditch to carry grade and a 22 Bucyres with the crane boom was used to set the 48 inch pipe. Those were just the deep job's i have been involved with and i am sure there are deeper ones .
