Traditional Farmer, I'm a big fan of CL. I could write a book on my positive experiences. ex: I removed 10 year old goodyear tires with only 50k miles. They still had some tread, I just wanted new tires to take a trip. Instead of paying $5 a tire for disposal fee, I posted pics of my tires and sold all 4 for $10. The first person bought them and asked why I sold them so cheap? He was happy and so was I.
When a tenant moves out, I look at carpet and decide if I want to spent money on having it professionally cleaned or is it time to replace it. Instead of paying carpet installer to remove carpet, I post pics on CL. There are many poor people who want it. They say this is better than what I have now. Again we are both happy. It usually saves me well over $100 removal fee. People removing carpet can't stop thanking me.
One summer, it was so hot I couldn't work outside. I looked at the junk I collected and never used. I posted pics on CL. Sold over $1500 worth of tools and junk.
I can't really say I've had a bad experience using CL. I have found things on CL by using searchtempest.com. Found Jubilee in S, Ill. Sod cutter in Dayton, Oh. Post hole digger in Dugger, In. geo

Today's Featured Article - Grain Threshing in the Early 40's - by Jerry D. Coleman. How many of you can sit there and say that you have plowed with a mule? Well I would say not many, but maybe a few. This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
