I have taken in many tractors for friends and sold them. I clean them up, fix any minor problems, paint them, and then sell them at at least double what they would have got for a ""set up,, not running" tractor". Yes it takes a battery, cleaning the carb and tank, filing the points clean, and power washing... Usually get an oil change, some electrical and mechanic work. A tire or two. and now we have a really nice reliable tractor that someone would be proud to own. Before, they would have been lucky to get $500... And after, they get most of at least $2700 to $15,000 pending on the tractor. Am I worth the fee?? I dont force people to come to me. And they are welcome to sell it themselves, but most people are too lazy to do so. So far, everyone has been happy, including me.
