Bill, The ring just goes on over the hub and the bolts hold it in place.It helps hold the bolts from wollowing around and egging out the holes in the rim. JD should have that also, P/N R54983 or maybe a salvage yard might also. Torque on the wheel bolts is 300 ft-lb. They're grade 8 bolts so don't worry about snapping them. I've got an AirCat 1/2" air impact that works well. No special things to remove outside dual (I have to do it every spring to plow since I've got an in-furrow semi-mount plow), just jack it up to where outside dual is just clear of ground, loosen bolts and slide it off.
