I've told this plenty of times on here,I grew up with migrant workers in the community. They'd come here for the pickle harvest, whole families. The season overlapped the school year by a month or so and they started school with us every year. Never had a problem with any of them. Some stayed over every year. There were marriages with locals. I still have good friends who are descendants of migrant workers. All good people. We still have a fair number of migrant workers who come here to work in the orchards and Christmas trees, but now I hear from those who have to hire them to get the job done, just how hard it is to get them here. There used to just be brokers who got workers for you. Now,because of all the political hysteria,it's a nightmare.
