The biggest problem with the southern border is the cartels run it, and most of the ICE agents are 200 miles away.
There isn't much happens the cartels don't know about. They put people on high ground with car batteries, solar panels, and 2-way radios to direct their mules away from immigration agents. They even reprogram cell towers to repeat their 2-way radio traffic.
One of the arguments for legalizing weed in Colorado was shutting down the cartels. Guess who runs most of the illegal grow operations Colorado busts?
