Good point. Something that has to be added into the equation as to why people won't/can't make it on those min wage/part time jobs that we all had and got by on back in the day is that we could actually work on a beater car and fix it, that we didn't "need" the latest smart phone and cable/satellite tv, that we would share a place to live with 5 or 6 other people without it affecting our precious self esteem, etc. I won't even get into the "right" they have to go to college for 4-6 years and party for 80% of the time. We've allowed things to deteriorate to this point because we were all too busy busting our humps making ends meet!
