I bought one twenty years ago. Used it to clear sixty acres of cedar trees with an M Farmall with Farmhand loader (old style).
Tractor was under powered for the saw. Angle of attack into the tree was critical to saw but after a little practice it worked pretty good. If you line up good you can cut two or three trees in one pass. I could cut trees up to about 8" at the ground in one pass. If you switch sides you could cut larger, but that was tedious. Of course the M was manual transmission and did not have power steering or live hydraulics. I was feeding in the pasture and would cut trees for a hour or so after feeding. I never used it again. Would be ideal on a dozer. Mine was a little wider and I had to cut on the angle to avoid the teeth taking too big of a cut.
I can do more with my Bobcat and shear but I like the tree saw. Sold it to a neighbor and he died before trying to use it. Don't know where it went.
