Ive got a mid to late 70s Ford 3000 diesel....
I recently replaced the starter relay due to it being cracked. It had quit starting but I was able to jump start it at the relay to get some important things on the farm done until I got a new relay.
After I got my new relay in the mail and installed it I have a new problem. When I connect positive I get sparks and a noise that seems like the fuel pump or something (kinda a whining) Its not the starter making the noise. I have to immediately take the positive off.
I have triple checked my wiring to the relay and tried a couple different combos with same results. The only thing changed is the new relay.
Any help is greatly appreciated, the farm has projects stacked cause this thing is down.
