They were one of the better tractors of their day. Tougher'n a barrel of #20 spikes. I've already told the story on here of the thoroughly whipped 30 we bought for $125 with a hole in the block, drove a wooden plug in the hole and ran the thing for years. They were the first tractor to market a genuine live PTO.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
