Another thought for you: 1. Don't alter your MH30, you have a good old tractor that is not real common (but not rare) and it was built in the trailer plow era. You might end up some day regretting what you did to that tractor. 2. Find a good 1 bottom 14" or 16" trailer plow, or a good 2 bottom 14" trailer plow. The "30" is rated at 21 drawbar HP so you want to make sure you stay small enough to plow without making the tractor work too hard.
In Wisconsin we rarely see a MH trailer plow at auctions (they are more common in the East) but an IH #8 Little Genius or #44 JD plows are very common and will work behind any old tractor.
I would look for a 1 bottom 14" or 16", an excellent choice would be a 2 bottom 12" trailer plow but those are very hard to find. Depending on where you live, I might be able to find you something. I'm retired, and can't resist farm auctions with old machinery. LA in WI

But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out. After numerous dead ends for a replacement carb, I went to work fixing mine.I soldered new floats on the float arm, they came from an old motorcycle carb, replaced the packing on the throttle shaft with o-rings, cut new ga
