Farm Bureau Insurance (also know as and owned by Q B E {Australian company} is one I would steer clear of) I had Farm, Auto, Livestock with them for over 10 years and no accidents- didn"t seem to help.. Hit 3 deer on road (got down to 15 MPH) and took car in for estimate and the amount thy said to repair would total it even though the damage was much less when i priced out the parts. From my experience I would suggest: Get MORE than ONE estimate -many of the shops want to buy the car from the insurance co -vested interest; Move the car to a place where YOU can control it; Find replacements in papers, dealer lots, etc and submit to company -- if they object; Hire an attorney and contact the state insurance commissioner. It took me two years myself to try to settle --during which time I drove the car and am still driving it with over 200,000 miles and kept the car. The settlement was only OK. I now have another insurance carrier.
