I hope this thread does not get deleted. This is the kind of dialog that our society desperately needs. Another point is that children matured much earlier into adults than they do today. I a lot of that immaturity in today's youth comes from little or no proper parenting. By proper parenting I mean teaching children how to become adults and teaching Consequences for actions and life choices. A lot of today's 30 year olds (and some are parents themselves) have the maturity level of a 1950's generation 12 year old. I attribute this to no parenting and sheltered parenting. Also video games teach a young immature mind that you can always reset back to an unaffected state. Constant viewing of the immoralities and destruction in movies and TV separates an immature mind from the realities and consequences of real life.
