Good Morning all, Im new to this board.
I recently purchased a 5130 mfwd tractor. Its my first tractor, I am a beginning farmer trying to get started. Its got 9440hrs on it and is in pretty good condition. It runs great and most everything functions as far as I can tell. Ive only had it for a couple weeks. This weekend while moving some big round bales around and feeding the cows it started to sputter and then died. Was about supper time so I came back to it later. It had fuel in it about a half a tank. I did put some more fuel in it along with some diesel treatment just in case. Got in and it sputtered the first key turn and then started the next. I drove it home and the next morning I changed fuel filters.. It seemed to be running good so out I went to move more hay when it happened again... hit the key a couple times and nothing.... Now it wont even try to crank just sits and clicks. Ive heard these tractors can have some electrical issues.. Anyone have any ideas?

This story is about the day my Grandfather Brown (true name) decided along with my parents to purchase a new Ford tractor. It wasn't really new except to us. The year was about 1967 and my father found a good used Ford 601 tractor to use on the farm instead of "Bob", our old mule. Now my grandfather had had this mule since the mid 40's and he was getting some age on him. S
