The great thing about messing with any engine and the tricks involved in success is they often transfer to other jobs and projects.
I believe we are metaphorical learners. we have great difficulty with abstract learning. We learn by relating a new experience or task to a past experience. the more we do, the more we read, the greater our metaphorical reference library. By messing with a VW, in and of itself won't get you much, maybe some fun, but there are other benefits to messing with one. We expand that metaphorical library, we are able to exercise out core virtues, if we are cognizant of what we do it builds our character. In short, it can make us better.
