February 24 to 26 is the Junior Ag Mech show at the San Antonio Stockshow. There are over fifty tractors entered from the 1930s to the 1990s. They have been restored by FFA and 4H kids from across the state. There are also all kinds of welding projects from gates and trailers to big farm equipment and wildlife equipment. The total number of entries for the show are over one thousand. We usually expect 60 to 70 percent to make it to the show. If you are anywhere close it's well worth the trip, it's something to see even if you're not close . If you can make it MM Texas and I will be working with the tractors. Come find us and say hello. Saturday the 25th is the best day because everything has been parked and is being shown by then. Come early you can easily spend the whole day just in theAg Mech show. The awards are Sunday morning and move out starts early. Hope to see you there. Tony

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
