I am fairly new to the site. Thanks to fordfarmer and a couple others for their assistance on my indutrial/utility backhoe assembly. My buddy and I farm together and between us we own a 340A, 3400utility (now backhoe), 3500 IND (just donated the hoe), two 4000s, 5600, 6610, 7610, And I sold the jubilee and 9n after restoration. We mostly work cattle and hay and have several small farms spread out so we need tractors on site so we can feed without hauling tractors. You can not beat these ford industrials/utilities for round bales. one on the back and two on twin spikes up front with no problems (1000# bales) and no waiting on hydraulics. I also have a f12 and a 560 that are both about to be restored but the new shop was just funded and the backhoe was the hold up in digging foundation. Now it is go time and we are hoping to have the new shop done ASAP to get some equipment in for service to prep for the coming year and then play with restores.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
