There is also the "urban legend" of a few very late 4010's leaving the factory as 4020's and retaining the 10 series PTO and axles. There was one "4020" around that this was supposed to be the story for it. That JD decided to send them out with 4020 pistons and sleeves but discount them for having other 10 series features.
