Neighbor had a great dane about that size, used to lay right in the middle of the gravel county road. Everyone drove around him so much that the road actually got a wide spot in it right there. One time the milk truck had a substitute driver who thought he wouldn't go around the dog, the truck ended up with a flat tire when the dog bit it. The dog has been gone for a few years now but you can still see the wide spot in the road.
