After nearly 7 years of well above normal rainfall maybe a dry year will let us get some of those flooded areas back to crops rather than cat tails that they have been growing for so long now.
That light brown patch in the upper left of my photo is a huge patch of cat tails and water that used to be a productive piece of flat land. What was once a 60 acre field has been down closer to 40 acres for the past few years.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
