I wonder if drainage might have a bit to do with Quill Lake rising as dramatically as it has. Not last spring but the spring before, I was washing the wheels out on my truck and grain trailers running down the highway just north of Dafoe. That was right about the time they rushed to build the highway up. Wish I would've taken pictures of that, driving down the highway with 8 or 10 inches of water over the pavement!
