im just supposing here, but i have a john deere 850 2wd, it has something like 23 or 24 hp, there is a 950 in the tractor house adds ,and their claiming 32 or so, i dont have it here with me, now, i contract mow in the summer with a ford jubilee and a 5 foot brush hog, or a 6 foot finish mower, all work fine but is there a way to turn up the 850's engine to the 950's power? what im thinking about is fuel savings the 850 will run a 8 hour day on the same amount of gallons the ford burns in 3 hours, if i could get the 850 to handle the mowing, id get more money in my pocket from the same job due to less fuel burned, or am i all wrong?
