I'd go with the Ford... but I doubt you'll notice much difference between them. The 3430 is a very basic spec tractor. Transmission only came as the 8x2 crash box... but it's bulletproof. Engine probably will (or easily could) make more than rated... so don't read too much into the power specs. You could easily wind that thing up to 50 pto hp. It's detuned in that tractor. Beyond that the FOrd is heavier, will lift more and pull more.. But if you're just dragging a flail mower around it's not a huge deal.
